Negative pregnancy hormone tests are generally inconsistent with the diagnosis of an ectopic pregnancy. However, if you feel pain or pressure on your left side, that's worth evaluating to rule out other conditions. If you're not satisfied with your doctor, have you considered getting a second opinion?

Hi, I live in Alberta,Canada. I believe I have a baby growing out side my uterus. Ultra sound shows no baby in uterus, pregancy homone tests are negative, doctors told me that its probably just need to normalize menstal cycle in couple months. I don't think I have two months. I have six children-a set of faternal twin boys, my right leg is fyll of lympadema due to screw in ankle and plate and screws in leg, over weight b/c of 5 years of fighting infection in leg and no one to remove the metal.
Now family doctor thinks I'm off my rocker when I tell him I feel a fast heart beat(checked with personal baby monitor) and kicking in my lower left side when laying down on it. I feel totally at loss. I cant get a specialist refferal b/c dr. thinks its not necessary, just give it time.Right, times running out. I would also like to get my uterus out and tubes tied at same time, since apparently the tubes tying did not work on my husband about 5 years ago. Please help asap
