A 61-year old Japanese woman gave birth with the help of her daughter’s donated eggs. She carried the pregnancy for her daughter, who has no uterus.
Because of the patients I get from Japan who come all the way over here to California to do donor egg cycles, I was under the assumption that donor eggs and surrogacy were illegal in Japan.
